On October 3 rd, starting at 11:30am, we will live broadcast “ Pride Parades of History ” highlighting some of the last 30+ years of Pride events in Columbus. We pivoted, again, and began production on a virtual moment of Pride celebration for October 3 as we celebrate LGBTQ+ History Month with just as much PRIDE as we celebrate in June–we hope you’ll join us!
As an organization we have undergone leadership change reaffirmed a commitment that Black Lives Matter, that Trans Black Lives Matter and have done work to acknowledge our misaligned moments of the past so we ensure we push a better future forward for all of us.Īnd, yet still in July as the realities of COVID-19 settled in we realized that we would not be able to gather together in person–a possibility that looms yet for 2021. In early April COVID-19 forced us to postpone the Stonewall Columbus Pride Festival and Parade and since that announcement the world and our organization has changed.
